It had been a busy week with the regular things I do.
But this week, I needed to change the program and classroom for the children’s class I teach at church. With the coming of fall, I began redecorating the room.
I put a beautiful fall tree in the front of the room along with a small hay bale, a stump with an owl on it, squirrels in the trees and on the ground, pumpkins in the field, and apples on a tree and in a basket. As I looked over the songs, I realized I needed the little tractors that would be “gathering” the hay! I looked and found the baskets I had used before but did not find the tractors. I prayed and asked God to help me locate them.
Again, I went to the closet in the classroom and noticed a container filled with empty plastic bags. I was impressed to look for them there.
When I put my hand down to the bottom of the container, there were the tractors! On my own, I would not have thought they would be under a stash of plastic bags, but God knew! He blessed me by helping me find them.
Then He blessed the children in my class as they used them.
I am blessed when I share about the miracle God did for us! Isn’t this so like God? He is so kind and helpful to His children! It excites me to realize how a request for something so small and insignificant to God still pleased Him, resulting in an answer to my cry for help! “God sees the little sparrow fall; it meets His tender view.
If God so loved the little birds, I know He loves me too.”* Really, there isn’t anything too small for God to care about! He is interested in our lives and willing to help us in the little things! This gives me courage as I walk through life day by day, knowing He will take care of the big things in my life, too, as I take them to Him in prayer!
