God’s Answer to the Cry of My Heart

Play/Pause Stop
You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. —Psalm 32:7, NKJV

For many years, I have suffered from a heart condition.

Additionally, I have trouble with my kidneys and struggle with diabetes.

Several years ago, while I was walking, I somehow pulled a muscle in my right knee. It was very painful, and I fell to the ground. I lay there for a while until a couple walked by and helped me. They picked me up and helped me to sit down.

Then the gentleman called my husband at work, and my husband came and took me home. I could not walk or place any weight on my injured leg.

My husband took me to see a doctor at the hospital.

A nurse administered a lot of tests, and the doctor sent me to have several X-rays taken of both feet. He referred me to an orthopedic doctor, who informed me that I would have to undergo knee replacement surgery due to the serious arthritis I have in both knees. I really did not want to have the surgery, and I told the doctor that Doctor Jesus would fix the arthritis in my knees—in His own time. It has been more than seven years, and I have not needed the knee replacement surgery. My God is more than good; He is great.

I can see His hand guiding my life, and I am so grateful.

I prayed about my heart condition for many years.

One night, I experienced severe heart palpitations.

It was so bad that I was not sure I would make it through the night.

I lay in bed and prayed once more to Doctor Jesus—and the palpitations stopped. It has now been more than a year since the Lord healed my heart.

I do not know when or how He did it, but I am certain He did it for me.

My friends, we do not know all the reasons for the way God chooses to lead us. I can only share my experiences with you and tell you what He has done for me.

We do know that we can trust our God to do what is best for us.

He loves us. I want to encourage you to trust Him.

What He has done for me, He can do for you also.

“Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” (Psalm 34:8, NKJV).
