Zoom has become an important platform for many of our churches.
I met with an enthusiastic church leader who wanted to get a Zoom prayer line going at the start of the new year. We discussed which days we would meet, what time, and how long each session would last. I prepared some devotional messages that would launch our prayer line. Everything fit perfectly in place, and the enthusiasm had spread like wildfire.
The focus for the first week was prayer for our children.
I had agreed to do the devotions for that first week, and everything was ready to launch more than a week before the prayer line was set to go live.
Yes, all was in place, but then a severe case of sinusitis made my voice almost inaudible, and my throat ached. I felt challenged at the thought of sharing the devotional message on Monday morning. However, the power of prayer was about to be demonstrated once more. I decided not to call and cancel but to bring it to God in prayer.
I had proven many times before that the days of miracles are not over.
God had come through for me so often in the past, and I believed He would do it again. At five o’clock on that Monday morning, I got up and went to get ready for our very first Zoom prayer line. By five forty-five, I was in my place and ready to go, though my voice, by all appearances, was not. After the short preliminaries, I opened my mouth in faith.
Then, glory to God! He did it again! I was able to speak for twelve minutes with a clear throat and voice! The twenty-eight people who were gathered on Zoom for that first meeting expressed how much they were blessed. But I was most blessed—as I experienced a miracle. I was not able to speak clearly for the remainder of that day, but the modern-day miracle was real. I have not always had such a prompt yes to my prayers, but on that Monday, I got an immediate, miraculous response. As I share this prayer testimony, I still call that early January morning Miracle Monday!
