Jesus Did Care

I have always suffered from breathing problems because of my nose. As I grew older, the problems became worse, so I decided to see a specialist.

He discovered that the air passage in my nose was very narrow and crooked. When I lay on my back to sleep, I could not breathe normally and would end up breathing through my mouth, resulting in a very dry throat. My physician made an appointment for surgery. I was scared and worried, but the doctor assured me it was a minor surgery and not serious. I asked my church to pray for me on that day. I called my friends and family and asked them to pray for me. At noon, I was wheeled to the operating room, and the doctor told my husband that he would be able to see me in my room after the surgery. I prayed all the way! After the surgery, I woke up with terrible pain in my throat, and I was not in my room but in the intensive care unit (ICU). I found out later that my husband had looked for me from about an hour after surgery until he eventually found me at 7:00 P.M. in the ICU. I wondered why I was there instead of in my room. The doctor told my husband that after the surgery, he and the anesthesiologist were talking when the anesthesiologist turned his head toward me and noticed I had stopped breathing. The anesthesiologist immediately reinserted my breathing tube, but I had lost consciousness for a couple of seconds. I praise God for taking care of me.

He got the attention of the anesthesiologist in the middle of the conversation. He probably tapped him on the shoulder. If he had noticed my breathing later, I might have died. When I think of being in the hospital, I truly thank the Lord for extending my life.

Now I fully surrender my whole being to Him. God still has a plan for me, and I will praise Him as long as I live. Sisters, each one of us is precious in God’s sight.

We do not need to worry, for He is still in control. Let us be women God can use according to His purpose.
