Costco Wholesale is a huge store that is usually crowded, especially on the weekends. To avoid the crowds and long checkout lines, I like to go on a weekday in the late morning or afternoon. One beautiful spring day I decided to go to Costco and get my bulk supplies for the home. As usual, I went in the early afternoon. I always stock up on almond and soy milk and get a case of twelve cartons each. Before heading to the milk aisle, I always pray to find someone willing to help me carry the heavy milk cases and put them inside my shopping cart. After praying, I went to the aisle where the cases were and was very happy to see a nice gentleman standing right in front of the milk cases. Immediately, I asked him if he would help me put the two cases in my cart. He kindly agreed and placed them inside the shopping cart.
We chatted a bit, and I shared with him a small inspirational tract that I always have in my purse. He graciously took it and thanked me.
When I finished shopping and was leaving the store, I prayed again that God would send someone to help me lift the cases into my car trunk.
As I walked toward my car, I saw a young man and his two little sons walking in front of me. We recognized each other because he worked in my office complex. I asked him to help me put the cases in my car, and he helped me. It turns out this same young man had previously helped me some months ago put the milk cases inside my car trunk.
It was such a coincidence to see him again after all that time—at just the time I needed his help. He mentioned that he remembered helping me before.
I was so amazed and grateful to God for hearing my simple, humble prayer to find help at the right time when I needed it. Nothing is too small to bring to God in prayer.
My dear sisters, please remember that our great God wants to help you no matter what your problems or needs may be. He is always there, and He loves to have us turn to Him for help. Let us always place our faith and trust in Him.
