Never Too Busy

Play/Pause Stop
He who watches over Israel Will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your protector; The Lord is your shade on your right hand. —Psalm 121:4, 5, NASB

A few years ago, a Christian influencer told me she was “in a busy season,” so we would have to connect later—when her life was not so busy.

Since I have experienced busy seasons of my own and have seen others around me in busy seasons, I understood what she meant and agreed to reach out a few months later. This led me to think of a spiritual parallel. We may be too busy to spend quality time with our friends and family, but God is never too busy to spend any amount of time with us. He is available to us literally 24/7, 365 days a year, and He is ready to help at any moment.

Think about this: The God who made the heavens, the earth, the galaxies, and all the universe always has time for us, no matter the day or night, no matter what we are going through or where we are physically located in the world.

Among the more than eight billion people populating this planet, He sees you and me. Despite the ever-increasing population explosion, God treats each of us as if we were the only person on earth. He cares about every single detail of our lives.

He wants us to come to Him in prayer and pour out our hearts to Him. He cares about everything that concerns us. God loves to hear us praise His name, and He is open to hearing our requests. Most of all, God loves to answer our prayers and delights in tending to every detail of our lives as only He can. Sometimes we may feel like God is running late. We do not understand why He makes us wait or why He seems to delay His response to our prayer requests. When that happens, we need to remember that God’s timing is perfect.

His answers always arrive right on time.

He is never too busy for us. We need to trust Him and keep drawing near to Him. As we draw near to Him, He promises He will draw near to us (see James 4:8). We are His children. His unconditional love for us endures forever (see Psalm 136). God will never fail us. May we take heart in knowing that though God is busier than we will ever be, He is never too busy for us. He always has time for us. Let us make time for God every day—for He always makes time for us.
