For All

Play/Pause Stop
“Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” —Matthew 11:28, NASB

Cycles and seasons are part of life. Seasons are the times when we struggle, preserve, thrive, and revive—again and again. In these seasons we can find ourselves overwhelmed, weary, and burdened by the challenges we face.

Whether it is the pressures of work, relationships, or personal struggles, it can feel as though we are carrying a load too heavy to bear.

Yet it is in these moments that Jesus invites us to come to Him for rest. Matthew records this beautiful promise from Jesus, “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28, NASB). This promise of relief does not comes as a result of withdrawing from life; it comes as a result of drawing closer to the One who can sustain us through every trial. As I write to you, my body is tired, my soul is tired, and even my mind feels tired today. For a moment I feel guilty about not being able to move faster.

To do more. To accomplish more.

But as I pause and breathe, my mind focuses on God’s grace and compassion, and I know that He understands, He feels, and He knows my limits.

Through my weaknesses, He is repurposing my circumstances to accomplish His plan in my life. So if you are in this season today, remember that God, our Creator, is also our Sustainer. Our rest. When life demands more than we think we can give, it is tempting to look for relief in things that promise temporary comfort. Yet these worldly solutions often leave us feeling even more empty and drained. Instead of checking out through distractions, addictions, or unhealthy coping mechanisms, we are called to check in with God.

He is the source of true peace and strength, and His arms are always open to receive us. Philippians reminds us of God’s faithful provision, “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19, NASB). God is fully capable of providing for us—not just materially but spiritually and emotionally as well. Yet for Him to meet our needs, we must turn to Him. God is ready to pour His grace and strength into us. If you cannot see the possibility of a ray of light, remember that the strength of your faith does not change the power of God. Just turn to Him and trust in His promises: “Come to me all . . .” You are included! His rest is for all.
