The Path of Providence

God often calls us to step out of our comfort zones and trust Him completely. My husband and I faced a crucial decision: Should we attend the university by taking online classes or wait until the doors open for in-person instruction? We decided to travel to the United States and volunteer while waiting for in-person classes at Andrews University to resume. In His providence, God placed us as volunteer missionaries in the field of agriculture at Blue Mountain Academy in Pennsylvania. This time of service taught us that true growth occurs when we follow the greater purpose God has for us and that every experience, no matter how small, can be a lesson in faith and gratitude. The journey was not easy, but at every step, we saw God’s hand guiding us and providing for our needs. After serving for six months, we received an invitation to continue in more specific roles, marking a significant milestone in our adventure.

During that year, we experienced total immersion in an environment where English was the primary language. This learning process was not only academic but also deeply spiritual. Facing the language barrier and adapting to a new environment made us realize that every challenge offered an opportunity to rely more on God and experience His guidance and provision in unexpected ways. The transformative power of serving others became evident in our daily lives. Through every task and interaction, we discovered that our service was not only impacting those around us but also shaping our character and faith.

We learned to view each challenge as an opportunity to grow and improve, recognizing that true strength comes from a spirit of love and self-discipline, not from comfort and security. Today, consider in what areas of your life God might be calling you to step out of your comfort zone. Reflect on the challenges you face—they may be opportunities for personal and spiritual growth. Remember He has plans for you to give you hope and a future.

Accept God’s invitation to serve with a spirit of courage and trust, and open your heart to the transformation He has prepared for you.
