God Still Answers Prayers

When I attended the General Conference Session in San Antonio, Texas, in 2015, I signed up to receive the daily devotional reading from Revival and Reformation.

I told the Lord I would share these messages each day and asked Him to let this simple act of witnessing bring about change in the lives of whomever He pleased so that others would be drawn to accept Him. Since then, I have been sharing with almost fifty people daily. I share with Adventist and non-Adventist friends alike. One of my non-Adventist contacts recently told me that whenever he has to conduct the devotional for his men’s ministry, he uses the devotions I send. If, for whatever reason, I am a little late in sending it out, some folks will immediately ask, “What happened to the devotion today?” After sending out the devotional readings for several years, I received the greatest news from a sister in Canada.

On that particular day, I was late in sending it out, and she messaged me, “Hi, sis, where is the devotion for today? If you only knew the impact of the devotions! I share them with others and now have two people who are ready to be baptized. So, please, sis, continue to send them.” Shortly after that, those two people were baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Praise be to God! I was so excited! I cried and thanked God for using me, His child, to turn the lives of others to Him just because I chose to share His words with others. I might never know how many more people have, or will yet, turn their lives over to Jesus.

It is all in His hands. As women preparing for the second coming of Christ, I encourage us to be like Jesus every day. Use every opportunity to encourage others to put their trust in Him and ask God to come into their lives. Move in faith.

With God, all things are possible.

Sisters, God has no other hands but ours; therefore, let us share His truth with others so they, too, can come to know Him in whom to know is life eternal.
