Beyond Our Wildest Imagination

Play/Pause Stop
“Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.” —Isaiah 65:24, NIV

I mused in my mind about the change in my circumstances.

Overnight I had lost all the sources of transportation to work that I had come to rely on over the past few years. Driving myself was now inevitable.

This thought had been circling in my mind for a while but had now become an urgent need. If I wanted to make the daily commute to my job, I needed to get a car. But how does one shop for a car when one has no idea what an appropriate car would be and what features to look for? A colleague consented to help me with my search.

My budget was limited, and my mind was inundated with the opinions of others as to what I should be looking for. During our search, we found two vehicles that my colleague felt were good prospects. We agreed to return two days later to finalize the choice.

After my colleague failed to contact me as planned, we ended up having to set another day to go auto shopping. Later that evening, another colleague messaged to offer her car—a newer car with lower mileage—for me to purchase. I was able to purchase her car while she upgraded to a newer car. A deferred trip to the used car dealership resulted in an upgrade in the type and quality of car that I was able to purchase. It is interesting how God orchestrates things in our lives. I had called her at the beginning of my car search, asking her for suggestions about where to find a good used car. She had remembered our conversation just that day and decided to make the offer to me. We were able to be a blessing to each other.

God was so specific that He even told me the price to offer for the car. God’s ways are beyond our wildest imagination, and He is truly able to do more than we can even imagine. I do not know what challenges you are facing or what breakthrough you are waiting on the Lord for. Know that He has not forgotten you and has already answered your request.

You will see the manifestation of this when the time is right, and you will clearly realize that God’s timing is best. I pray you will find that what you thought was a disappointment is simply God’s way of redirecting you to a greater blessing.
