Verse:Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day. —Deuteronomy 29:4, KJV
I was focused on my problems.
Many things were not the way I wanted.
The gap between my wish and reality was big.
I finished projects. They looked perfect but weren’t and turned into a nightmare. However, the Lord never gave up on me, and I learned a new lesson.
How do you see right when you are struggling? God invites us to ask and promises we will receive. I pray to have new eyes, more spiritual.
I ask the Lord to see things as He sees them —through Heaven’s eyes.
My human eyes have two problems.
They are limited to appearances, desires, or problems. I always “fall in love” with things that alter my judgment. My eyes are never satisfied; I always want more. “Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied” (Proverbs 27:20, KJV). Thus, I must keep working on my character. I pray to have temperance, godliness, patience, love; if not, I will stay blind. “But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins” (2 Peter 1:9, KJV).
The reality can be disappointing sometimes, especially when you have a dream. It is time to keep believing that what you want is coming.
Have hope. However, to see right, I also need to listen to God’s voice to synchronize my will to His will. That’s why my favorite part in my daily prayer time is when I let God talk to me. I ask Him for a message for the day, and I open my Bible.
I receive strength and direction step-by-step.
I just need to listen to His voice by opening His Word.
Let me share with you my little prayer. God, give me Your eyes to see as You are seeing people or my situation. I’m tired of being sad, angry, and in despair. Come, help me; I need a real change. Show me the way out.
Amen. It is constant work to see right because the enemy wants us to be blind. Always repeat to yourself, “Victory belongs to Jesus; the enemy already failed.” Then always stay closer to Him.
