Everything Was in Its Place

Verse:

God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect. —2 Samuel 22:33, KJV

My husband has always been a very energetic man.

For years, he was a building contractor and never seemed to be tired. He could go for hours and was strong. Even in old age, he could outdo anyone, it seemed. So while visiting our local primary-care doctor, we were shocked to learn that he had a bad leakage in his heart and needed to see a cardiologist as soon as possible.

He was set up for an echocardiogram.

Then he had a catheterization of his heart and was told he would need a new valve. Before that surgery, he was to have a stent placed in one of the arteries in his heart. All went well with these procedures.

A trip to Spokane, Washington, United States of America, was arranged to do five more tests to see when the valve would be replaced.

At the time of the catheterization, the physician, who was in the hospital in Walla Walla, Washington, only for two weeks out of each month, happened to be there at that very time. He wanted to place the stent in my husband’s heart as soon as possible and was able to do so the very next day. He also checked to see whether any other arteries needed stents, which they did not. We had no idea that we would need anyone special to do that procedure; we just thought it could be any cardiologist, but God knew just who needed to do that procedure and made sure that just the right person was there at just the right time. The stent was placed in his heart in time so everything could proceed in a timely manner for replacing the heart valve. As I write this, my husband is in Spokane, having five pre-op exams before he will know just when the valve can be replaced. How we thank the Lord that His timing was perfect and the right person was in the right place to take care of his needs. God is so good!
