Verse:

“Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.” —Matthew 18:19, ESV

Around the end of July 1994, a mysterious thing happened. I was unemployed and resided at the home of Janice and John in Tallahassee, Florida, USA. I started a garden, and John became interested. Together we worked in it, and the Lord blessed us. One night John’s mother summoned him to her home. She had a beautiful baby boy whose mother had abandoned him, and she needed help to care for the child.

I was in the right place at the right time to babysit little Edward. In this wonderful way God provided a job opening for me. I was able to care for the child and receive a salary from the government. One Monday afternoon Janice returned home from work very distressed. When John asked what the matter was, she shared the many problems she had with her car on the way home. She said it was only through the grace of the good Lord that she had been able to return home safely. I was working in the garden and overheard their conversation. I walked up to the back door and said to my friend, “Janice, you are working with millionaire bosses. They are the very people who work to resurface and build roads in Tallahassee, and you should have no reason to be struggling without a car.” She came through the door, stood on the steps, and said, “That is very true Sister Johnson.” I continued, “The company can give you a new car.” “Yes, they could!” she replied. I stepped closer to her and we touched each other’s hands as a sign of agreeing in presenting this request to the Lord. The next morning, around ten o’clock, Janice called and said, “Sister Johnson, guess what?” I said, “I can’t guess; you tell me.” She responded that she had just been given a brand-new Ford, and the title had been made out in her name. “Praise God! Hallelujah!” I exclaimed. She told me that when she arrived at work, her boss said he and his wife were taking her to the Ford car company, and she could choose whichever car she liked. She chose a beautiful Ford Escort. God really blessed Janice—and He wants to bless you today. Let us be faithful, my friends, for He is so faithful to us!
