AI-narrated recordings
The publishers barred ministries from recording the devotionals and posting them on YouTube, which left us without audio.
Other ministries chose to narrate devotionals generated by AI. We built a process in which AI only reads each devotional's real text, without changing anything. It may still make a few mistakes, and these recordings are not posted on YouTube.
Producing them every day is costly. Thank you for your support and patience.

Verse:Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. —Isaiah 41:10, ESV
The year 2002 changed my life forever.
One night I went to bed married and woke up a widow because my husband had died suddenly in his sleep. My son was only eleven years old.
I was so angry with God! I had no desire to live, and all I could do was cry. I wanted to die. I could not care for my son, who was also in total shock and disbelief. I could not pray and did not want to pray, but for whatever reason I still went to church, where I spent most of my time in the ladies room crying. I found myself becoming increasingly suicidal.
One Saturday night, while preparing for bed and weak from crying, I began to formulate a plan to end the pain. I thought of jumping out the window of our two-story house, but the registered nurse in me reasoned I would hit the pavement but not necessarily die. I decided against jumping. At that point I realized my thoughts were terribly unhealthy; I needed professional help. I cried myself to sleep and woke up crying.
I cried as I drove to work. When I arrived at the nursing staffing office for my work-location assignment, I was told I had been assigned to the Medical Psychiatry Department. I was dumbfounded. “God, You can’t be serious!” I said out loud.
My first patient was a middle-aged woman who had been admitted for attempted suicide. She was living with chronic pain. I spent the first part of my assessment listening to her describe her desire to die. My second patient, a young woman, refused to eat or care for her personal needs because her boyfriend had left her for another woman.
My other patients were also suicidal. I found myself sharing the love of Jesus and promises from the Bible that He can and will heal our pain and strengthen us each day. I forgot my own pain as I ministered to each of my patients. I could not believe what a great day I had! I felt the Lord’s presence and sensed Him say, “Jannett, trust Me. I know you’re hurting, but I will take care of you. I will never leave you.” I have never again thought of hurting myself. God has been the source of my strength and comfort. He continues to care for me and my son. Whatever your crucible, my friend, remember God always keeps His promises.
He will take care of you, and we can trust Him with our children.
