AI-narrated recordings

The publishers barred ministries from recording the devotionals and posting them on YouTube, which left us without audio.

Other ministries chose to narrate devotionals generated by AI. We built a process in which AI only reads each devotional's real text, without changing anything. It may still make a few mistakes, and these recordings are not posted on YouTube.

Producing them every day is costly. Thank you for your support and patience.

Verse:

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not— to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before Him. —1 Corinthians 1:27–29, NIV

In 2012 I moved from New York to Florida in the USA.

About a year later some family friends came to visit. Gabriel, their younger son, loved to watch lizards and all the other wildlife Florida residents live with on a daily basis. After a few days they decided to move to Florida as well, and we started the process of finding houses for sale. Gabriel insisted they should not live anywhere else but on my street.

I explained this was impossible. I live on a small circular street, and no houses were available for sale. But then I remembered something. When the developers had started to build on my street, I had looked at the only two houses that existed: the beautiful model homes built to impress. One of them, number 1504, was a beautiful two-floor home I had never seen anybody move into. I called the Realtor and asked about it.

He told me the house had been sold.

“Are you sure?” I asked. “Because I can see it from my window, and all this year I haven’t seen anybody there.” He double-checked and called me back. He said I would not believe what he had discovered: Someone made a down payment of US$30,000, and the house went off the market. Then the buyer disappeared. If this was not crazy enough, it seemed everyone just forgot about it! God had miraculously held the house for Gabriel’s family for all that time! This was not presumption. It was pure childlike faith we would do well to learn from. The Bible is filled with amazing stories of how God works on behalf of His children. For example, the one about a powerful country that chose a foreign slave to be next in line to the throne was the same place that ordered all the baby boys to be slaughtered.

Yet Moses was adopted by a princess and raised to be the future pharaoh, though God ultimately had other plans for him. Our loving Father heard the wish of my young friend Gabriel and made provision for it even before it was asked.

What is your heart’s desire? God can do some crazy things to further His will!
