When Angel Hands Intervened — Part 2

Women · From the book Color my world with love

Verse:

For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. — Psalm 91:11, 12 , KJV

Some time had passed since our “angel curve ” experience when God had miraculously spared us five occupants returning from church meetings in a compact car that suddenly lost a wheel when the axle broke . Now He had granted my pastor - evangelist husband and me a new baby . These were some of the most exciting days of my life ! After waiting for more than seven years , I was now happily mothering Keithia , my bundle of joy . She was just over three weeks old , and her dad was beside himself with joy taking her to meet Grandma .

I cradled the baby in my arms and took my seat behind the excited driver . We set out early , wanting to spend most of the day with Grandma and return to an important Sunday - night meeting at a village church where my husband was conducting a six - week evangelistic series .

We were traveling on the same road that connected this western town to Montego Bay and on which we’d experienced the broken axle accident . Yet that day , even the little one seemed excited , as this was her first long road trip . There was so much joy in the car . I still cherish the memory . The joy , however , came to a sudden halt when our car came around a well - known and sharp corner . A flatbed trailer truck , loaded with equipment , was precariously parked on the corner . Another trailer truck was coming head - on . There was no place to go — death seemed inevitable . The workmen covered their faces and turned their backs , waiting for the impact . Our adrenaline kicked in as we anticipated the worst .

In seconds , we found our vehicle in a safe spot beside the parked trailer . A clear miracle ! Our angels had intervened again . This time , they must have lifted the car with us in it , for we had not crashed into a “ stone ” of any kind ( see the Bible text above ) . Immediately the truck crew was on the scene , this time with a measuring tape to prove there was no way our car could have passed between those two trailer trucks . We agreed . God had done it again !

Today we have not one but two “ angel curves ” on that road , not even four miles apart . We even got to spend some “ alleluia moments ” with Grandma . I have written “ PP ” in my Bible beside Psalm 91:11,12 . That is a “ proven promise ” for me in God’s Word . I still praise Him !
