Verse:This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us —whatever we ask— we know that we have what we asked of him. —1 John 5:14, 15, NIV
God has promised that when He calls us to a certain work, He will be responsible for its outcome. He will supply the necessary support that the project requires. As we invest our time and effort into our calling, He will provide for our daily needs as well. In January 2003, Pastor Daniel approached me about working on a ministry project with him. We prayerfully began our work on the project whenever he was available.
In April, I went to the Philippines to complete a master of ministry degree, interrupting my work on the project. After my return home, Pastor Daniel and I prayerfully continued with our project. I was informed I would be given a contract for this project to continue as a researcher. In May, I began serious research in libraries, on the internet, and through surveys and interviews. After our research was completed, we drafted our findings and computer work into the final product, which was printed in a religious publication. We also produced, under the guidance of Pastor Daniel, two different pamphlets regarding our research project. Then came the responsibility of translating all the work from English into Chinese —both traditional and simplified Chinese.
Ms. Kathleen recommended Pastor Edmund of Hong Kong to help with the translation. How thankful I was to be guided by two experts in the completion of this project (including PowerPoint slides)! Praise the Lord, who provides for our needs! The project was finished in December 2004 and put onto CDs for a well-known ministry, ending my very busy one-year, seven-month contract. Then it became necessary for me to care for my parents, especially my father, who was not in good health.
About a year or two years later, however, I was invited to attend a large church conference. While there, I had the privilege of introducing to all attendees the completed ministry project with the PowerPoint presentation.
God will bless any project He gives us!
